IT - Network Administrator
At Lavaca Medical Center the Network Administrator responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Implementing and managing security measures, including firewall and virus protection to safeguard the network from threats and unauthorized access. Continuously monitoring network stability and performance using system monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues. User support and management including user settings and permissions and provide technical support to users to resolve hardware and software problems. Recommend, test, and implement system and software upgrades to ensure the network remains up-to-date. Create and maintain support documentation for network systems and applications.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, operating system environments, and routing protocols. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues. Understanding of security risks and controls. Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical users, vendors, and management. Ability to analyze problems, manage issues, and find solutions to improve network functionality. Strong time management and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field is preferred. Experience in networking and system administration is preferred. Additional Information Position Type : Full Time Shift : Day Contact Information
